Message from the President, |
|
|
On behalf of Families Against Meth (FAM) I would also extend to you our compassion if you are currently suffering with someone you love in the throws of substance abuse. We can’t offer you a “cure” but we can offer you support from a group of individuals who are or have been in the same spot as you! This is what our group is all about! Collectively we are going through, or have gone through various justice systems, rehab centres, detox centres, treatment options, and heartache. We have information on what has worked and what has not in our group, and a list of resources that you may find helpful. FAM provides a safe and nurturing group for sharing information, laughing when we need to, sharing success stories, and crying with others when that is needed also! FAM facilitates public education forums on the effects of substance abuse such as physical, mental, and social problems throughout the year. We also provide a social networking and fundraising activities to support our mission and values. Lori Green |
